The Fortuneteller
Student Assignment made by Twine, recommended play in Fullscreen.
In The Fortuneteller, players will take on the role of the owner of a small fortune-telling shop, divining two clients each and influencing their endings by interpreting the cards. All images used in the game are drawn by us!
Unfortunately, despite following the tutorials and additionally looking up and experimenting with a lot of methods, we still haven’t managed to put a bgm in the game. A similar situation occurs with some specific scenes where the background image is offset. We found a lot of tutorials and experimented a lot in Twine, but in the end we couldn’t get the background image in these specific scenes to display completely properly.
Apart from these, we:
- made and improved the icon of cards’ book and cards’ links and returns;
- referred two our previous games as cards (THE CAT, THE DOG and THE CLOCK): Where Is My Cat and The Clock of Seasons;
- created four endings of client;
- had tasty drinks from the vending machine when we were coding and coding;
- fixed some bugs (about the book of cards) and made some improvement (still about the book of cards, such tough part) according to the feedbacks of playtest;
- made 28 versions before playtest and 6 versions after playtest;
- still believe cats are cute;
- hope everyone enjoy our game.
